Thoughts for the beginning of November...

Where should I begin...

Seriously, October flew by. The last I left off I posted a YouTube video discussing Halloween and a benefit for a young woman struggling with bone cancer at the age of 21.. since that post the drama that has unfolded is absolutely crazy. The biggest storm in over 50 years, Sandy, hit our area. As I write this blog post I still don't have power! The simple things in life that we take for granted... like making a cup of tea or drying our hair.. wow, driving, gas... who knew!

I however, am able by the grace of God to have the use of internet because I am fortunate to be at some one's home who has power. Today is November 5, the start of a full week in the aftermath of this horrible storm. So many people are suffering. Our neighbors, our friends and our families. Please know that everyday is an absolute gift. Need we be reminded that life strays us from what is important. The essence of our existence, the purpose of each day, is to be of service; acting as if we would want to be the recipient and expecting of our neighbor, friend or family to offer us kindness and respect without expecting anything in return. If only when we have all that we require can we for one moment experience the power of this moment of grace.

Be safe, be still and know that this too shall pass.
