Cleanse Week 1 Recap

Wow... 1 week down on the cleanse!

I will say, the first few days were not so easy. In the afternoon, I was definitely craving my coffee for a pick-me-up. Coffee is definitely the hardest part for me! The first 4 days I was battling with on/off headaches, wooziness and low energy. But, by the 5th day I was over the hump and feeling good!

Now, instead of feeling like a "cleanse" the Crazy Sexy Diet is feeling more like a way of life. It is starting to make sense! My body doesn't need refined sugar, animal products or processed foods... I can flourish off of fresh fruits, veggies, grains and legumes!

But... I do have to admit.. last night I cheated. After doing so good all week, Sunday night I caved in and had an espresso. It was delicious as I was having it but then later in the night.. not so much! I couldn't sleep because I was wired! Which then carried into today; my body was completely off, lack of sleep, shock to my system, etc. The espresso was too strong and my body was not used it. My stomach has been hurting and I just feel off. Lesson learned! Tomorrow is a new day!

Overall though, I am keeping my focus. I am noticing a change in my body and I am liking it! I've already said it a bunch of times, but the book Crazy Sexy Diet by Kris Carr is not just helpful in providing motivation and recipes during this cleanse but it is so full of information to positively influence a healthy lifestyle.

For those who have not yet checked out the book... I highly highly suggest you do so! Even if you don't do the cleanse, you will definitely learn something new from this book!
