Happy August all my Goddesses!!

Wow... August 1st, 2012, how did that happen so quickly? The 8th month of the year is upon us; lets take a deep breath and ponder the thoughts I left you with the last week of July...

First let's start with this: the Goddess for this month is the Irish Goddess Tailtiu; she reconnects us with the earth's cycles and the spirit of excellence!

Themes of August are the first harvest and excelling in a craft or sport. This tradition is perfect timing as the Olympics are here!

Now, lets go inside... listen to your inner Goddess and find a word that describes the areas in which you want to encourage or master. This month accentuates kinship and community. Lots of music, art festivals and country fairs that continue the summer's energy cycle.

Enjoy the remaining warmth of the earth. Celebrate the human spirit and be aware of how you can make a difference. Remember, Fall is just around the corner! Be grateful and mindful of our Earth and all it's magic!

Wow... can you believe it is July 26th!?!

As we come to the last weekend in July, some goddess thoughts....

Besides all the beauty and skin tips, I want to share that everyone has a journey - its the inside beauty that has always inspired me. We are all capable of being good people, so as we get ready to being another wonderful month of summer ask yourself: What's really on the inside? How can I obtain more inner beauty?

HAPPY JULY TO ALL MY GODDESSES!

The Buddhist Goddess, Grismadevi, whose name means "Summer" joins us to welcome the season and energize our effort for goddess centered living. In works of art she often appears wearing the color red, the hue of life's energy and carrying a cup offering refreshment to all in need.

Tips From Your Skin Goddess for the week of July 4th:

Drink red juices or eat red foods to internalize the vibrary of summer!

• Red or pink grapefruit juice; great for purification
• Red peppers for zest
• Tomatoes or watermelon for Vitamin C and lypocene; helps prevent sun damage
• Raspberries and strawberry; superior antioxidants

Goddess Recipe for July: Blend fresh raspberries and strawberries with ice. Add a little unsweetened almond milk (or soy/hemp/rice milk). Instant goddess cocktail - enjoy!
